Just last month, I went to my first homecoming game and dance! The dance which was on a Saturday was after dinner, so a friend invited me to get ready at her house before. When I arrived, we chose which dress I wanted to wear. The dress I decided on was silver with embroidered stars and a sweetheart illusion neckline.
Every year, girls prepare for the first day of school. They may want the perfect outfit, haircut, and nails to make the best first impression to their peers and their teachers. Now with the Nailbot, girls can have an easy ice breaker right on their nails. The Nailbot can easily print any of your hobbies or interests on your nails with the press of a button. The nail art done by the Nailbot can initiate conversations that could lead to acquaintances or even future friendships. What are some of the things you would like to put on your nails? I know I would love to put something related to either NASA, diving, or Girl Scouts.
My name is Elise Voglewede, and I am a Sophomore at St. Joseph High School. Last year, I was a delegate at the National Girl Scout Convention in Columbus, Ohio. At the convention I was able to meet so many empowering women, including Preemadonna’s founder Pree Walia. I was extremely excited by the prospect of the Nailbot, and how it could make doing my nails more efficient and creative.
Hi Preemadonnas! I’m Aastha and I am interning at Preemadonna this summer. I learned about Preemadonna and the Nailbot through my sister, Ankita. After watching the Nailbot tutorial video, I was amazed by how perfectly the cute designs appeared on the participant’s nails and knew this would be a great place for me to both help out and learn more.
I’m currently a junior at Cupertino High School hoping to major in Computer Science. I have participated in various coding camps presented by Jr. Java and Girls Teaching Girls to Code, where I developed a strong interest in problem-solving due to the challenging assignments. My favorite project was designing my own version of Bomber Man - an arcade-style, sprite game - in Java.
My name’s Charley and I’m a junior at the Harker School. I spend my time dancing, doing homework, and being forced by my parents into college counseling meetings. (Fortunately, I was introduced to Pree through my college counselor.)
Because I’m a baby, my life’s story is pretty short. I went to a private preschool, grew up going to public school, and now I’m at another private school. This means my parent’s standards are realllllyyy high, but thankfully for me, my school offers so many classes that my parents want me to take (especially if they start with the letters AP). I took programming summer before sophomore year since computer science was a requirement and my mom forced me to take a different course since I didn’t get into to the AP Chemistry course. I was immediately intrigued by a little robot called Karel that we controlled using Java. I was so excited for what was to come. Then, we stopped using the robot and started creating larger and more logical Java projects. I was just about ready to give up since I realized I actually had to use more brain power. But, oddly enough, programming turned out to be one of my favorite classes of high school.
My name is Sommar Veverka and I am a Preemadonna. As a Preemadonna, I am reminded that I can do anything I set my mind to.
My name is Jackie Nichols. I am a rising senior at Acalanes High School in Lafayette, California. I am new to the Preemadonna team and am beyond excited to do some work for the company!

Hi everyone, my name is Julia and I’m so excited to be collaborating with the team behind the Nailbot! I’m an aspiring nail artist, and when the Preemadonna founders spoke at my school, I fell in love with their idea. I had never thought to combine my interests in nail art and my interests in coding before. I’m always looking for new nail art techniques, and their presentation was the first time I had seen (or even thought of) printing on nails. Pure genius!
