My name is Sommar Veverka and I am a Preemadonna. As a Preemadonna, I am reminded that I can do anything I set my mind to.
In high school, I was the captain of my lacrosse team, an editor for my school newspaper, and now an intern at Preemadonna. Preemadonna has helped me grow as a “leading lady” and has taught me to define my own feminism. I have learned that I can still be girly, gentle, and a smart young woman as a feminist. Throughout high school I had a difficult time identifying as a feminist. I’ve always believed that woman can do anything and have the right to equal pay and to make their own health choices. However, growing up there was a negative connotation with being a feminist. Someone whom was "anti-men" and in your face about being a feminist. That is not me. It took a while for me to realize that I can define myself as a feminist. Preemadonna has helped me become the young woman I am today. And I am a feminist.
