Hi fellow Preemadonnas,

My name is Sommar (pronounced “Summer”) Veverka, and I’ve joined the Preemadonna team this summer as a Lead Preemadonna Ambassador and intern. I am an incoming senior at Miramonte High School in Orinda, California. I love my dog Boomer, which is an adorable puggle. I love to travel and eat well, which means my friends and I often go searching for the trendiest places in the Bay Area.

I have been involved with Preemadonna since last October when I hosted their first Nailbot, nail art house party. It has been very exciting to see the advancements of the Nailbot from the start. As a Lead Preemadonna Social Bee Ambassador, I will be helping Marne Pike (Preemadonna’s digital guru) run Preemadonna’s social media accounts, which I also run for my school’s student newspaper, the Mirador. I am the social media director and broadcast editor for the Mirador this upcoming year. I will also be one of the captains of my high school lacrosse team, which won the North Coast Section of California championship last spring, and I also play for the BearLax Club traveling team.

Sports and journalism are a big part of my life, but I also enjoy traveling and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Last summer, I attended the Emerson College Summer Journalism Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. My professors there made me realize that I enjoyed writing, but that I was more interested in technology.

Due to my recent interest in technology, I signed up to take a coding class at my high school, which is what I am looking most forward to my senior year. That, and becoming a second-semester senior.

Preemadonna as a company is very unique because they aren’t solely trying to sell you the Nailbot but to encourage girls to be creative, and let them know that “We are smart. We are beautiful. We invent the future.” Joining the Preemadonna team has allowed me to believe these words by showing me that I am everything. I am a Preemadonna, and I can’t wait to invent my own, and the world’s future.
